    First time racing

Hello everyone, listed are my mods and my performance from yesterday’s Fast Lane Friday’s at Homestead Speedway.

    2016 Charger Scat Pack:
    k&n cai
    kooks long tube headers
    straight piped
    diablo tune
running bf Goodrich sport comp 2 a/s 275/35/20

    Dyno’d at 444.7hp/493.3lb-ft

Track is 1/8th mile and not prepped

    times from last night:
    10.056 @ 85.09 (3.376 60’) spun all day
    8.691 @ 89.53 (2.505 60’)
    8.302 @ 88.58 (2.041 60’)
    8.218 @ 89.64 (2.042 60’)
    7.955 @ 89.32 (1.891 60’)
    8.058 @ 89.57 (1.960 60’)
    7.856 @ 89.71 (1.811 60’)

Those runs are in order. The first 4 runs seemed to be me learning my car. I left 2 hours before the night ended because I didn’t want to be there all night.

I’m excited to try it out next time with radials and actually gripping better.

Nice! Looks like you made good progress learning what the car and track wanted too. That's great. Awesome you are able to run that many times in one night.

Want to share how you were launching and going down track. We may be able to give you some tips.

I have to launch by holding gas and brake around 1200rpm and roll into it. If not, I’ll do a rolling burnout.

I went again Friday. I didn't improve my times but my MPH went through the roof with the new throttle body. I had 4 runs that were 8.0 or 7.9 and the MPH was always over 90 so I'd like to say the TB did improve power but I spin harder off the line with ****ty A/S tires. I also noticed the temperature was higher, the track was too moist and the DA wasn't as great but damn did I get so much power.

I'm not going to the track until I get some decent tires and the ported intake manifold.

    My best runs were:
    7.944 @ 90.90
    8.020 @ 90.76
    8.045 @ 90.10
    8.158 @ 89.74

Compare that to last time and it's a way faster.

Edit: Yes, TB and no tune.
