    That explains a lot, when I was commuting five days a week (roughly 80 miles a day, 100+ if I was out visiting shops) I was burning a gallon a month, significantly more if I drove aggressively. Cold startup equates to a pretty decent puff of smoke, WOT occasionally does the same.
