    Wheel locks

Anyone has suggestions on which wheel locks to use for the 2018 Scat Pack low gloss black factory wheels? Let me know. Thanks!

I purchased the OEM Mopar wheel locks. The dealership tried to sell these to me for $150....I was like I'll pass.https://www.ebay.com/p/OEM-Dodge-Cha...0300677&chn=ps

I have an OEM supplied set in the trunk as they are nothing but a PITA. Also if they want your wheels, locks just add about 45 secs to the theft. Plus I keep my car in the garage as my garage is NOT a storage facility. lol

Or for some contrast, those same locks in chrome are part # 96643DX

That is a set of 20 locks, every lug is a lock. Yes thieves can remove them with some effort. Hammering a socket onto a lug nut, twisting it off, beating the socket until the lock comes out, then repeat again 19 more times...is not the same as twisting 4 locks off a set of wheels.

As far as parking in the garage, wheel theft can happen anywhere you leave the car. Go to the movies, the mall, even inside the grocery store. I'd rather it take them 10 minutes vs. 2 minutes. Much better chance of catching them in the act.. or that they'll simply decide it's too much risk and move along.

They are more of a deterrent system vs an anti theft system. Like a few people have said, if they want to steal them, they will find a way. Harbor Freight sells a locking lug nut master key set to make matters worse.

I don't use them after witnessing how a pro can get them off in under a minute. Just adds to the stress of taking wheels off when you need to. I have insurance.
I have used the Gorilla ones on the past though.

Hate say this.... but pros dont beat them on the lug nut as they have tool that looks like this one to do the removal. Poor ROI IMHO.

besides the key is often misplaced lost or the service guy never returns it. Had to chase the dealership down twice after noticing the key was gone.

I'm aware of those tools. The smaller the gap between the lug hole and lock the harder it is to user those, sometimes impossible. All depends on wheel and lock design.

Peeps still stealing factory wheels these days? I throw locks away. After the third replacement key on my wife’s car I went to the dealer service rep and said take that **** off my car right now, he went and got a little impact drill and took them off in the parking lot, I walked right over to the trash and glared at him and threw them in lol.
