    Initializating new abs module

Do you have to reprogram a abs module if it’s new to your car..and is the dealership the only one that can do it?

Note; if the HCU was also replaced it must be bled using a OBDII scan tool.

A regular shop can do it with a Snap On tool, doesn't have to be the dealer.

What were the codes? Cannot communicate can be defective module or perhaps the fuse? But you would get a dash ABS light if your fuse were blown.
Can you do an automated bleed?

I installed a used abs module and now I have problems. There I fixed the thread headline for you. Normally after installing a "new" abs module the abs module will learn the vin number that is broadcast on can c from the pcm. After that procedure is done the "new" abs module will need to be initialized to learn the new tire size and other parameters needed for stability control and traction control as well as its basic functions. The initialization is done via scan tool, I cant speak to the capabilities of all the other scan tools other than the dealer scan tool(been a dealer tech for over 20 years) . But what I can tell you is that used abs module is going to give you problems until you get the correct vin number in it, once it is in there it will retain it ! I was once able to help a customer who put a used abs module in his 08ish ram , I had to use special software and interface to effectively wipe out the vin number , on reset it learned the new vin from his truck, after that we had to do a initialization /drive procedure and all was well. Chances are you local dealer wont be much help with the vin number problem, look to aftermarket solution for that, dealer can do the rest if need be.

U140e implausible data configuration and torque request denied is the codes I’m getting with the abs module that came with the car..i pulled the abs module out of my srt charger and installed it since i had no issues with that one and got a implausible vehicle configuration and vin mismatch code

Lets keep this in the forum rather than private message so people can learn from this experience . Why don't you give us all the information on what, why, and how this came to be. First , why did you replace this abs module, Second did you pull the replacement module from the exact same vehicle to put in yours, Give us a complete picture here so details don't get overlooked ...
