Yes; if you have the skills, its pretty straight forward to install the later (8-spd) tunnels into the earlier platforms (the 05-08 tunnels would need to be modified)...
I've seen conflicting information on whether an 8 speed will fit in my 2008 Magnum. It appears the transmission tunnel is the same as the newer models.

I got the part number "04780787AC" from the 2008 LX parts manual I downloaded from this site. I went here 2008 Dodge Magnum Base 2.7L V6 Extension. Floor pan. Front, rear, mopar, center - 68089676AA | Chrysler Jeep Dodge City, McKinney TX and it shows the supersessions then if you select "What This Fits" then select "Show More" It lists everything that it fits and it's pretty much everything from 2008 to 2021.
Could the edges where it fits to the rest of the floor pan be the same and the shape maybe a little different?

From all the vids I've watched with swaps, including a 06 Maggie, no one has changed the tunnel. They all say the 8 speed fits with out MODS.

I thought you needed to piggy back the TCM or the ECM with a controller that knew you were running an HP90 and no longer had a NAG1.
This guy does the conversion software.. and also performance valve bodies for NAG1s.

holy cow, A 8speed in my 300 would actually be so sweet just bc of my 3.91
When I chatted last year with Hell Raiser performance (HRP), they had perfected the transition / marriage of the two OEM programs to make it seamless. It kinda threw a wrench on my idea of putting a 6sp in the Magnum, as the performance gains of the HP would be huge. I'm waffling on the joy of rowing gears or the added performance of an HP.
Its also worth mentioning that HRP has designed some incredibly strong replacement parts to build a very strong HP transmission...

Yea, the thought of a six speed has been rattling around in my brain too. One of those Hellcat 6spd from Cleveland looks very enticing.
I think I'm going to try and find a complete rear end wrecked '15 to '19 Scat Pack Charger. I would like to put the Charger dash, interior and front end into my Magnum. Dash shouldn't be a problem (the guy on YouTube bolted a Challenger dash in his) and I've read that at least the Charger front door panels will fit, don't know about the rear doors yet. I would love to also put the front clip on if it doesn't require a lot of cutting and fitting. My body work skills are almost nonexistent. I've already got the rear subframe and suspension from a 2019 Scat Pack with only 4000 miles on it.
Would also like to have the 1320 Adaptive Suspension and transbrake so maybe find a wrecked Challenger to get the electronics off of then find a Charger for the other parts.
Just have to see what I can find.
