Where is Kevin when we need him. True test case at VMP and his time slips to prove his findings.
Hi Guys,
Probably gonna get flamed for this but where can I find true numbers from many intake manufacturers? I see everyone raving about LMI but I only found two posts both highly disputed.
Does LMI have any dyno charts available showing stock vs intake? For our vehicles? It seems a worthwhile investment to put any naysayers to bed.
I know I’m on the fence and this would help.
Before gettin flamed for the numbers comment, I know, the gains are minimal with any intake.
Just hoping to see any evidence if there is any.

Dynos are great for tuning but can exaggerate power both high and low. LMI intakes have been proven to add power at the track where power is not exaggerated. Many (including myself) have saw 1-3 tenths improvements in their ET. My average ET improved almost 2 tenths after installing the LMI True CAI. Don't waste time chasing dyno numbers to compare CAIs. Talk to those who track their car regularly.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the responses.

Those saying they have timeslips showing a gain, did you run without and without the intake the same day at the track? 1-3 tenths is easily in the realm of varying track conditions. MPH gains are usually a little more consistent for a power gain. Just wondering since I've seen comparisons with adding the Hellcat airbox and similar ET improvements.

Kevin ran at VMP several runs, then went back to the pits. I helped him put the LMI true CAI in. Then he ran back out on the track(30+/-minutes passed). it was even getting hotter. then he picked up 3/10 over his previous best morning run.
Without seeing it ,and helping him, I probably would not have believed it.

Yes that’s true. I prepped my car for the install before I left home. Asked Chris to bring one to vmp. Hot lapped twice. Then installed in the pits. Then hot lapped twice. All within less then an hour. My time slips are on his Facebook page
