    Anybody Going to Carlisle?

I'm driving down in my '06 Magnum RT. I was going to bring my '79 300 to sell, but it sold. (Yay!)
    Anyone else in?

Although I can’t go, I would have loved being part of a caravan full of Mopars for a few exits out of NY, but there seems to be little interest? Either way, have fun at the show!!
Thanks Johnsand thanked for this post

    Thanks!
It was amazing! They were honoring the '69s this year, particularly the Daytona 500 and Superbird. I've only ever seen a couple, but there were dozens. And everything else. So many classic GTX, Chargers, Cudas that I hardly knew where to look. Streams of current and classic Chryslers coming from every direction. I'm already planning my return.

Glad you had a great time. I’m sure it was amazing. I’m surprised to see the lack of interest for the event. Is there anyone here from the Long Island / NYC area thats part of a local club? Thanks

Did you encounter any Mopars on the way?

We saw a couple of classics broken down on the way. As we got closer, into Carlisle, there were Mopars everywhere.
I actually didn't check out the swap meet or much of the spare parts because we literally spent five hours walking around checking out classic muscle.
A guy there told us there were seven miles of parts if you walked it row by row.

Oh i believe it. spring and fall are the big swap meet ones. Mostly overpriced cheby crap tho. But i went to the ford one not long ago and those parts were closer to reality on the price.
Soooooo much walking. And that hill is one S.O.B. lol

There were over 2800 cars this year, a new record. Swap meet area was full of vendors. Theres over 16 miles of pavement in the fairground i believe. All the cars were amazing.

I'm game, though my Magnum RT is well used and stock.

So? Its all about the camaraderie and love for our cars. Team move over SRT and Mopar Misfits seem to be NY clubs....

I took my ‘79 B-Body Magnum, it was a great weekend, has been 2 years since we were there,
We took a walk to see the modern Mopars, I can tell ya, I have never seen soooo many Challengers in my life.
there had to be 400 to 500 of them, WOW... good amount of chargers, didn’t see to many magnums .... but, the cars
were on the hill... BTW... my ‘79 took 2nd place in our class, what a surprise!!
