Now think about enforcement. You proposing race numbers on the side windows and a special transponder for the speed guns? Otherwise the cops are going to be pulling you over all the time. Kind of defeats the purpose and wastes the cops time as well.

Lower insurance rates? You're going to be a higher risk. See above.

    Obviously LOL.

I think we can all agree that the current system of licensing produces drivers with the lowest level of skill acceptable. If it isn't already obvious I think ALL testing should be far more stringent.

Effective training can teach defensive driving and how to anticipate other drivers' moves, and WHEN and HOW fast it is safe to travel. And as mentioned training could include accident avoidance, emergency braking etc.

Learning the psychology of driving is another skill set that is invaluable to effective driving. Emergency responders already learn these skills.

Much like the video above proves, the speed limits are already too low, this could be an alternative to raising them. Only raise them for those deserving.

Transponder isn't a bad idea, if there were restricted areas where it was permissible, heck lose the multiple passenger lanes (proven to be entirely ineffective at combatting congestion) and turn them into high velocity lanes.

I was thinking a different plate is an easy and cheap method of identifying the car (but not the driver), get pulled over show your enhanced license on your way. In my opinion a couple minutes at the side of the road is hardly a waste of time given the cost of tickets and the result effect on insurance rates.

That is only your opinion. Firefighters (for example) are always among top ten safest drivers and we normally get cut rates because of it and then training courses like Young Drivers, both examples set the precedence for these kind of skill oriented discounts.

Maybe in the sense of the track. But the skill I'm proposing isn't speed, that's as easy as pushing the pedal. The skills would be far more traffic and safety oriented.

So, the hellcats have been out for a few years now. I don't recall hearing of an increase in auto-accidents or accidents specifically tied to Hellcats more than other cars.

Guess that means we were right.
