    2010 Charger Police New owner

Hello LX owners, I was lucky enough to win an auction for a 2010 Charger Police with a Hemi, sadly the timing chain was broken when I got it, the dealer will hopefully fix it like Dodge Corporate said they would, but I'm waiting to hear back

thanks for all the great info

I converted the interior to an R/T'ish spec with Srt seats as it had a partition and the seats were no good front or back, I also got a center console and recovered the armrest. I got a floor shifter, but haven't wired it in yet, I just took the stick portion out and left it in to cover the hole, I don't mind the column shift and hopefully I can find something to do with the area if I decide not to have a floor shifter, like a cell charging station or something.

I'm going to call the local PD and see if they want there partition back oh and the electric shotgun lock I took out of the trunk, lol, surprised they took the lights off, still have the spotlight though

So how have you wired up the seats to get the airbag light to go out?

the airbag light isn't on, but the plug does match, so I could take the bypass off, I just don't think it is worth messing with, maybe for the passenger seat I will. I did wire them up (passenger seat is also electric)

it's a plug cap type thing that Chrysler put on it, looks bright yellow like the airbag wiring connector. I would take a picture, but my car is at Arrigo Dodge and has been for over 2 weeks, they aren't sure if they are going to fix it or give it back to me to fix. They didn't perform the timing chain recall in August of 2015 when the car was there, the previous owner said they were given the excuse that the part wasn't in stock, all other attempts made by the previous owner (city of port st lucie) resulted in this excuse or another, this is what they told me they noted when they called Arrigo Dodge. I called Dodge Customer Service before I even bought the thing and they said if there was damage due to the recalled timing chain and tensioner failing, that they would fix it free (not reimburse me, free) then I bring it to Arrigo and the service advisor called me the next day and said it didn't start after they replaced the chain and tensioner, he said it probably has valve damage due to the timing chain breaking and that they wouldn't be fixing it. I asked if he called corporate to see if they will cover it as they told me and he said he didn't but that he would, still waiting on an answer. Nightmare is that I'm in the market for a new truck and my wife won't let me get a Ram unless this is resolved like Dodge corporate originally promised they would. Her brother works for GM and can get me an Amazing deal on a truck, but it would be a Chevy or GMC, which I don't want, argh!

I'm happy about getting the Charger still, I will fix it if they don't, it will be 3 weeks on Tuesday, just don't know why it is taking so long to get an answer. The really sad part is I can't get a Ram if I end up fixing it unless I want to further anger the wife. I was talking to a friend with a 300C and Arrigo Dodge was trying to charge him for an Airbag recall. I will I would have went to Wallace Dodge in Stuart, I had a good experience with the Wallace service dept with another make. I will update with the outcome.

Put the partition and shotgun lock on Craigslist or eBay.
