Charger SP - screw above the wheel - possible hazard?

I just noticed this screw over the wheel on Scat Pack Charger, it is about an inch above the tire and I am concerned if this could pose serious hazard (by piercing through tire) if speed bump or a pothole are hit? Have you seen this? Any comments?

I have not seen anything similar EVER on any of the cars I drove...can someone more technically savvy explain this? Thanks

I noticed it too when I was measuring wheel options.... I thought it was a little crazy to have it that close but I think someone in another thread mentioned that if the tire moves up, the screw will also move up with it. I'd like to hear some other chime in on it though.

It's the stud for the (upper control arm) ball joint.....it's on both sides of the fronts. It will never contact the wheel/tires, unless you run a ridiculously sized tire

that moves with your suspension. If your tire hits it you have much bigger problems.
