    Looks like a death-inducing accident just itching to happen. Anyone else find it incredible all the various steps the winch operater had to go through, including arming / disarming explosives, in an effort to catch and release?

    Some crazy-azz sh!t that would never(!) fly today...

    On D Day, lots of gliders were used to transport troops to France and many of them died when the gliders crashed while landing.
