Installed the factory shelf subwoofer and wired it correctly to the amplifier. It at the moment is not functioning, but it isn't high on my priority list.

One picture was a 63 T-Bird I see frequently at shows, another was a 64 Ford Galaxie at a cruise night.

Nice, I couldn't quite tell/didn't look that hard, just saw similar features and thought they were the same car.. haha.. But, the reason I asked is because I have a Baby Bird (57).. I plan on rewiring the dash towards the end of the summer and rebuilding the brakes and carb and getting her on the road for the first time in years..

Little Bird, and a 57 no less. my Favorite of the first generation. If you want any info/help, the VTCI forum is chock full of T-Bird info. Give it a look...

    Cool

So just over 4 years later, piled allot of miles on from 5/2013 until 6/2015 driving almost 100 miles a day to and from work 5-6 days a week. Since only do about 60 miles a day now. At nearly 72,000 miles the original Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires are just about ready for replacement, I do need to do them before the winter really gets bad, our first real winter storm days ago proved worn out tires don't handle as well as slightly worn ones. I was considering staying with the Michelin's, or going to the Hankook Optimo H725's some of the AWD Chargers/300's use now, but given the Michelin's high cost, this was out ($220-$270 each). Hankooks were $191 each, but looking on Tire Rack's website they rated much lower than the Michelin's, so they're out too. I found a new tire from Continental (yes, the company that made those horrible tires our early LX's burned threw with ease), the Continental TrueContact. The price per is $174, and all of the test ratings and reviews are great, even better than the Michelin's. So I'll be doing those pretty soon. Also coming up for brakes all around, despite the pulsations they're still the original brakes. I'm considering upgrading to AWD Police brakes when the time comes. It looks like I'll be keeping this one a long time, as FCA stopped making AWD HEMI models in 2015, other than the cop cars which added AWD HEMI availability starting 2014. But I don't want to go in that direction where I have to sacrifice options I've grown accustom to, just to have an AWD HEMI car.

Back in January, I put the new Continentals on. Only $150 each, but they turned out to be a crappy quality tire. They vibrate, especially when cold, and they aren't even a self-sealing tire. After a few minutes of driving they smoothen out. They're pretty chirpy too cornering at slow speeds. I briefly had an issue with the HVAC not blowing cold enough, fix was a new Humidity Sensor, which the old one had set a DTC and the diagnostic procedure simply states to replace it if the code comes right back. The heated steering wheel conversion wasn't really serious, aside from the parts needed there's no guarantee it will work without a configuration change. AWD Brakes... yes, they are doable, but you essentially need to change everything. I didn't try on the rear, but on the front you need the rotors, pads, caliper brackets, bracket slide pins, bracket retaining bolts, new calipers, and new flex hoses. The bearings, knuckles, and dust shields do not have to be changed. They will clear the inside of the stock 19" wheels used 2011 and newer. Based on the cost for such a conversion, I instead opted for the stock pads and rotors. I may be making a big change DD wise in the coming month or 2, so I opted to stay stock. They work fine, and could have lasted longer than 84,000 miles had the backsides of the rotors not rotted away. Rears aren't too far behind. Powertrain warranty ends in less than a month, so if anything were to happen in that department, I wouldn't have to pay to fix it. Fuel door wasn't popping off easy or opening easy after popping off, I took it out and lubed it up, which only lasted a couple months before it started to bind up again. I'll have to try a different lube next time.

96,000 miles on the clock now, front and rear brakes done, but they warped easy. I'm thinking it's related to the crappy Chinese made wheels Mopar has been using for the AWD since 2011. I re-balanced the wheels and most of the vibrations are gone. Something about the wheel hub surface on the wheels, not true or something else... Other than PM, a bulb, and a bats--- crazy RR TPM sensor most recently, it still drives great. I have not replaced it as a DD just yet, but hopefully it will be soon. But even so, it's not going anywhere anyway. Stay tuned...

Nothing really new, other than I have 2 TPM sensors going wacky now, just haven't gotten around to replacing them. Currently a tick over 99,000 miles, still runs great. Don't have anything new on the new car front, maybe soon, maybe not...

    Exclamation

So it's 7 years of ownership today, 107,000 miles. Just a few repairs here and there, it is now a backup car for my 2017 Scat, which I got just over a year ago.
